Stage I: Quieting (The Storm)

I settle down for the night but my mind is racing. I struggle between clearing my mind to succumb to sleep and allowing my thoughts to finally run wild without interruption. Physiologically, theta waves begin to flow throughout my brain bringing on a deep state of full relaxation, and I slowly fall asleep.
